  1. What is your proposed idea for this project?
My idea for this project is to create an experimental horror film featuring a protagonist being stalked and chased by a mysterious killer. I've been watching a lot of horror movies lately since Halloween is finally approaching, and noticed that many slasher flicks include a prolonged chase scene featuring the main character and the antagonist.

  1. How will have these videos influenced that idea?
The videos I researched had no specific influence on my idea, however the various shots and focal points in "Coloured People 2" have inspired me to utilize zoom, tracking, and pan as some of my camera movements for this project.

  1. What experimental technique will help you achieve your vision for this assignment?
I will most likely utilize tracking in my experimental horror film, to follow the protagonist as she is chased by the villain.

  1. I chose this video because I found the bizzarre movements of the person dancing throughout the film very interesting and inticing.
  2. The video was created by artist, Steina Vasulka, and follows a person dancing and taking various steps throughout a room, however their body and movements are warped and bended.


Video #2:

Movement by Laetitia Caeli Hermawan



  1. I chose this video after researching experimental videos regarding human movement on Youtube. This video in particular caught my eye, because of the highly-saturated and vibrant colors that the artist used in their scenes.
  2. The video was created in Indonesia by artist Laetitia Caeli Hermawan, and features various scenes of crowds moving throughout a train station (mostly in reverse).

Coloured People 2 by Evewright Studios



  1. I chose to watch and analyze this experimental video because it was filmed by the ocean and I'm a huge fan of the beach.
  2. The video was created by Evewright Studios and features various people walking at the same pace, following paths drawn out in the sand. While the concept is somewhat strange, the shots where the people are walking in a synchronized motion is very soothing and appealing to the eye.
